A doubles PB game, esp in our community, is best if all the 4 players are evenly matched.
Right now, it is getting confusing with P1-P8 playing with each other (this never happens in an outside tournament that uses DUPR) and we allow sandbagging too. Let us not mix and match. There will no targeting as both opponents have the same skill rating.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to have two separate tournaments for players of different levels. Mix and match gives exposure to weak players facing strong players and strong players can focus on playing more winners than being conservative. Besides on game day anyone can play like a P1 or a P8 player.

Maybe in the parings games, we aren’t able to do all match ups anyways. Maybe p1 only pairs as low as p6 and p3 will pair to p8. That way it’s not an uneven match up.
